T.L. Headley is an award-winning, veteran public relations professional and former businessTerry 2 journalist. He has more than 23 years of experience in mass communications, including service as managing editor of several newspapers, senior writer for a business journal, director of public relations for two major state agencies as well as the largest state coal mining trade association in the nation, and as an independent public relations consultant.

Headley has an MBA in finance and marketing as well as an MA in public relations and a BA in political science. He currently is completing his studies for PRSA accreditation and for certification in economic and community development.

Headley manages the web presence and provides public relations support for organizations such as the Logan Coal Vendors, Citizens for Coal, the Friends of Coal social media network and others. During the course of his work, the Friends of Coal social media platform has grown from nil to now approaching 100,000 total fans across most of the United States, with presences on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+, Flickr and Youtube. The FOC’s total monthly traffic on these sites exceeds 1.5 million visits on average, with an average of 54,000 unique visitors. The platform has achieved a Klout score of 63, on par with the national AFL-CIO and other similar organizations.
